Every class, reading, and due date at a glance
The schedule below is tentative; topics, readings, or due dates may shift as the semester unfolds. Any changes will be announced in class and posted to Canvas. For learning objectives and a fuller description of each class, see Content.
Homework deadlines: every homework is due by 11:59 PM on the Monday night before the class it’s listed with (classes meet Tuesdays); the HW due dates in the tables below are those Monday deadlines. Slides are posted after each class, typically the next day. They are accessible to students enrolled in the class by logging in to our Canvas course site.

An optional extra-credit exercise is due Dec 16, after the semester’s regular class schedule ends.
No homework ever lands on the same day as a quiz. I set the schedule like this so that nothing competes with Quiz 1 (Class 6) or Quiz 2 (Class 10) for your attention.
Want to go further? This course deliberately covers just enough Python and R to build a PsychoPy task and wrangle/visualize/report your data. Things like object-oriented programming, working with web APIs and online studies, and writing general-purpose scripts are genuinely useful, but we won’t get to these skills this semester. If you want to cover meaningfully more than what’s assigned in this class, I encourage you to dip into other chapters of the assigned readings on your own.
